Edward Horowitz

Senior Executive Advisor

Mr. Horowitz is Chairman of EdsLink LLC, a New York City based venture fund founded in 2000, providing financial, advisory and technology consulting services. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Fairpoint Communications (NASDAQ: FRP), a Board Commissioner to Indonesia based LinkNet Tbk PT (LINK:IJ), and on the Boards of Globecomm Systems, Inc., and The Tennis Channel. In August 2015, Mr. Horowitz was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the Board of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet.gov). FirstNet’s mission is to provide first responders with a dedicated national interoperable broadband network. Most recently Mr. Horowitz served as Co-CEO of Encompass Digital Media (EDM) and on its Board from 2010-2014. Prior to Encompass, he served as President and CEO of SES AMERICOM, a leading communications satellite operator and on the Executive Committee of its parent company, SES (SESG Euronext Paris, Lux). Prior to joining SES in 2005, he served as a Strategic Advisor to the Chairman of Cablevision (NYSE CVC), the CEO of SPARX Group (Japan – TOPIX 8739), a Japanese financial services and investment company, and the CEO of Neustar, Inc. (NYS: NSR). Prior to forming EdsLink in 2000, Mr. Horowitz was Executive Vice President of Citigroup’s Advanced Development unit and Chairman and CEO of Citigroup’s e-Citi unit. Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. Horowitz was Senior Vice President, Viacom Inc., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Viacom Interactive Media and a member of the Viacom Executive Committee and, prior to Viacom, Mr. Horowitz held various senior management positions at Home Box Office (HBO).
